The starting point

Small enough to launch.
Useful enough to matter.

Choose one core purpose. We can add more once people have something real to use.

01

Website

A small, responsive site with up to 3 pages and supplied content.

12–28 hours$1,440–$3,360 estimated
Scope, process & what I need +

For a business, practice, creator, or project that needs a clear place to introduce itself and turn interest into an inquiry.

What you receive

  • Up to three pages built around your supplied content and agreed visual direction, with layouts for phones and larger screens.
  • Clear navigation, contact links, and the agreed calls to action, plus page titles and descriptions for search engines.
  • A working preview, the revisions listed in your proposal, launch checks, and a short guide to the finished site.

How it happens

We choose the action visitors should take and organize the pages around it. I build the first working version, then you review the wording, images, and layout. I check links, agreed forms, keyboard navigation, and phone layouts before connecting the domain and publishing.

What I need from you

Your logo or visual references, finished copy and images, contact details, and access to the domain when it is time to launch. I can help shape missing content or design direction as an added part of the scope.

Tools behind the work

I use ChatGPT to help organize ideas and content, Codex to build and refine the site, and Sites to preview and publish suitable web projects. Your existing domain and any agreed booking, newsletter, or contact service can be connected where supported.

Scope to agree

A store, member accounts, custom booking system, payment collection, ongoing content editing, and writing all the copy are separate additions. Search-friendly setup does not promise search rankings.

02

Web app

A focused browser app with one core workflow and basic data storage.

36–84 hours$4,320–$10,080 estimated
Scope, process & what I need +

For a useful service people access through their browser: a searchable library, a client portal, a tracker, or a small planning tool.

What you receive

  • One clearly defined journey, such as entering information, saving it, and returning to a useful result.
  • The screens and basic storage needed for that journey, including useful loading, empty, and error messages.
  • A working preview with sample information, checks of the agreed journey, and instructions for using the finished app.

How it happens

We map what the user does and what information the app needs to remember. I build a small version of that journey first, then we try it with realistic examples. I check that records save correctly, errors make sense, and any agreed access rules work before launch.

What I need from you

Examples of the information you want to manage, the steps users take today, who should see or change each kind of information, and one person who can test the preview. Sample data should be anonymized where practical.

Tools behind the work

Codex supports the build, tests, and revisions. Sites can host suitable lightweight browser apps. If the project needs a separate database, sign-in service, or payment provider, we choose it during scoping and list its role and recurring charges in the proposal.

Scope to agree

User accounts, payments, a separate administration area, outside-service connections, and AI features are priced additions. Complex permissions, sensitive information, and large-scale usage need further scoping before I commit to a build.

03

Mobile app

A focused first release for one mobile platform.

50–120 hours$6,000–$14,400 estimated
Scope, process & what I need +

For an idea that benefits from being on someone’s phone, with a focused first release for either iOS or Android.

What you receive

  • The agreed core journey and screens for one mobile platform, with a layout designed for touch.
  • A testable version on the agreed devices and a review of the essential actions before submission.
  • Preparation of the agreed app build and submission materials, plus a handoff covering accounts, publishing, and upkeep.

How it happens

We first decide whether a mobile app or a mobile-friendly website better serves the idea. For an app, I build and test the smallest useful experience, gather your feedback, and prepare the release for the chosen store. Store review can require changes; the proposal sets out which submission work is included.

What I need from you

The target platform, examples of the intended experience, app name and brand assets, a way to test on the agreed devices, and the relevant store account. You supply or approve the privacy and business information used in the listing.

Tools behind the work

I use Codex for AI-assisted implementation and troubleshooting, together with the build, device-testing, and submission tools required by the chosen platform. The exact setup is agreed before work starts. Sites may support an accompanying website or browser prototype; publishing a website does not submit a mobile app.

Scope to agree

A second platform, notifications, subscriptions, offline operation, device-specific features, and a server that stores shared information can add scope. Store accounts and fees are separate; approval and review timing belong to the store.

04

Custom software tool

One useful internal workflow, dashboard, or automation.

18–48 hours$2,160–$5,760 estimated
Scope, process & what I need +

For a repeated task that takes more manual effort than it should: organizing information, preparing a report, calculating a result, or moving information between systems.

What you receive

  • One defined workflow, with agreed inputs, outputs, and a clear way to run or use it.
  • The interface or automation needed for that workflow, with basic checks for missing or unexpected information.
  • Trial runs with representative examples and a practical guide explaining how to use the tool and recognize a failure.

How it happens

You walk me through the task as you do it today. We agree what a correct result looks like and which steps need your approval. I build a small trial, compare its output with your examples, and check how it handles mistakes before it touches live information.

What I need from you

A walkthrough of the current task, sample files or records, examples of correct results, and details of the services involved. For an automation, we also agree when it runs and who should be told if it fails.

Tools behind the work

Codex helps build and test the workflow; ChatGPT helps turn the process into a clear brief. A browser-based tool may use Sites. File processing, scheduled work, or connections to other services use the agreed tools for that job, with access and running costs documented first.

Scope to agree

Each outside-service connection, substantial data cleanup, migration, or additional workflow can increase the price. Work that sends messages, changes records, or takes payments needs explicit operating rules and approval steps.

Planning ranges for supplied content and a focused first release. Features, integrations, and revisions change the scope. Final costs are agreed in writing.

Working together

You bring the idea.
We make the next step clear.

I build with Codex and ChatGPT, informed by developer training and mentorship. You work directly with me on priorities, design, and feedback.

  1. 01

    Shape it

Your audience, three must-haves, a few references, and a budget. We agree a scope, milestones, and a price.

  2. 02

    Try it

Use a working preview early. We refine the important journeys and check phones, keyboard access, and error states.

  3. 03

    Launch it

Launch with documented accounts, ownership, recurring fees, and a support plan. Store approval is subject to the platform’s review.

What monthly care includes +

Hosting includes an infrastructure allowance of $10/month for a simple site or $25 for an app. Care adds one hour for investigation, maintenance, or fixes. App care also includes a $20 allowance for app-specific upkeep overhead. Retainers reserve additional hours; unused hours expire each month. Extra work is $120/hour and approved before it begins.

We agree response windows, backup retention, recovery checks, cancellation terms, account ownership, and handoff in the proposal. Domains, email, API usage, payment fees, store accounts, and provider overages are separate. A self-managed handoff has no ongoing service fee from me.

Security, monitoring & repair +

We define access rules, validate inputs, protect service keys, and test the agreed user journeys. Monitoring and safe recovery actions are selected for your project; a restart or rollback can sometimes run automatically. Code fixes are reviewed and tested before publication. Sensitive data, compliance requirements, and independent security audits require specialist scoping.

How to compare your options +

Compare the same deliverables: pages or workflows, content, integrations, ownership, revisions, and support. A DIY builder can cost less if you do the work yourself; a larger team can provide broader specialist coverage. My offer is direct collaboration and a focused first release, priced by the work involved.
